The Municipal Alliance is a group of 40+ volunteers that are dedicated to raising awareness in our community about drugs and alcohol. Like so many other towns in New Jersey and throughout the nation, we are seeing increasing numbers of young people and adults suffering from addiction.

By bringing this problem to the forefront in the community, we are taking the steps necessary to reverse this upward trend. We provide funds for speakers, team building skills activities for 5th & 6th-grade students, Project Graduation, intergenerational and senior programs, just to name a few.

In February we held our Annual “RED Night Out” for parents. The focus of the year’s program was to ask parents to become part of the solution by signing a pledge to monitor their child’s social media, to not host underage drinking parties, and encourage open discussion about alcohol and drugs. We also sponsored a poster contest in the elementary schools. Prior to the program, we asked the business community to show their support by displaying red ribbons.

On August 24th the Alliance is sponsoring our Annual 5K Race at Gille Park. This event, which is our only fundraiser, consists of a 5K Race, a One Mile Fun Run, and Kiddie Dashes. Help us to continue to provide services and programs that raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse in the community by becoming a sponsor for this event.
